This is the band formed as a solo vehicle for Spanish
siren Mª Carmen P.Climent (Maruska), a young lady who is
so hot, she won’t just turn your head, Maruska will twist
it right off, she must be a traffic hazard. But has she
got the goods to match the looks and attitude? Well, for
starters, she can really sing, a blend of rock, gothic,
semi-operatic and operatic. So now let’s take this baby
out for a spin. This is the sort of symphonic pop metal
that is so far up my street, I’m parked up enjoying a cup
of tea. Picks amongst an album packed with picks are the
infectious high octane title track ‘Driving Through Hell’
(video on Female Voices Blog), the dramatic ‘At The Other
Side’, the symphonic ‘Heroes’ (the chant is Stark Day, not
Saturday btw), and the Nightwish‘ish’ turbo charged rocker
‘Sky Commander’ where she shows off her range of voices.
Our trip fittingly finishes with the awesome epic ‘The Journey
of Lost Souls’. Fans of Nightwish, Within Temptation, Rawkfist
and Katra can drive through hell to visit her at http://www.ancestralsign.com/
, and this racy little beauty is available to take away
at a reasonable on the road price at iTunes and 7 Digital,
a perfect for top down cruising 9 out of 10.
