The Review

"Project - Name Stolen"- come across as a combination of early Roxy Music and Pink Floyd with a dose of Peter Hamill thrown in for good measure. More an interesting album than an involving one I know there’s a theme to the album but to be honest with these different song cycles it was hard for me to follow it. Indeed, the last track “Sunriders: Heroic Expression a Truttle is a moody piece that depends upon organ and synthesizer to drive the largely instrumental composition. In complete contrast the opening track “Inside the Temple” represents both the strength and major flaw of the album—a musical hodge podge that borrows from a variety of sources without making the material the band’s own. ***

“Name Stolen” makes nice background music but not much more. It’s not that it’s bad it just doesn’t make much of an impression. Nice background music with a mix of saxophone, guitar, keyboards, drums and synthesizers that won’t be remembered more than 10 minutes after you’re done playing it.
