"Playgrounds" is primarily a live album, the sounds of
the instruments should feel as if they have been played on
stage, which is more opaque and subtle compared with studio
disks, and why this their first live cd differs from most
of the live sounding ones is that its altered to be quite
similar to a studio one's. This probably means that the adjustments
were completely absent, or that otherwise, in the worst case,
the intervention of post-production has been minimal; a choice?
This is consistent with the nature of German music and especially
in tune with public taste,a traditionalist who follows them.
Clarity and truthfulness should be particularly appreciated
by listening skills, from one who loves the complex harmonies
and instrumental melodies discrete and enchanting, in short,
the turbo-blender branded fan(Dream Theater) prefers the more
human and less artifact of the (Rush) Live Sound. It is precisely
to the heights touched by that Canadian band that would go
the (Sieges Even), who tried at least to sound live, only
to do that in a intermediate way. The songs "live"have
many qualities, but their light shine in the studio versions
so you should listen to them first before you dive into these
"Live Versions" from this new release "Playgrounds"
