The second and final season of Freakazoid chronicles
the superhero's final stand against crime and corruption.
To his family and most, Dexter Douglas is a "Freak in" Harry
Connick High School. But when evil strikes into the heart
of innocents everywhere, Derek "Freak out" and becomes Freakazoid.
His heroic journey began when an accident online cause the
socially inept outsider to have speed, strength, endurance,
agility -- and insanity. As Freakazoid, he stands for freedom
and righteousness with the aid of girlfriend Steph, and
police chief friend Cosgrove -- until he finds something
else to do. ***
Freakazoid's crime-fighting days comes to an end this
season, as he continues his battle against the Lobe. The
show parodies superheros Spider-Man, Superman, and Batman.
This season, writers parodied The Godfather, as Freakazoid
must accept all requests made to him on his birthday --
but can he stop his arch-enemy's latest crime spree in time?
The show also takes a page out of Mission: Impossible, as
Freakazoid and the gang travel to a brutal police state
to rescue Dexter's family. After two seasons, both hero
and villain face for the last time, as the Lobe develops
an devious plan to destroy Freakazoid once and for all.
Can and will good still triumph over evil? ***
