The is another great lossless DTS-HD multi-channel
soundtrack from Fox on Blu-ray Disc. The fourth in a series
of direct-to-DVD films based on the TV series, “Futurama:
Into the Wild Green Yonder” is an environmentally driven
story. It begins with Amy Wong’s wealthy father, Leo, who
owns Mars and has a reputation for not caring about the
environment. Because he thinks his miniature golf course
is too small, he plans to bulldoze twelve percent of the
Milky Way galaxy for expansion purposes. ***
At the construction site is Fry, who falls victim to
strange accident. As the result of his injuries, he now
has the ability to read minds, and he quickly decides to
use it as a way to win at poker. He eventually competes
against Bender as well as a number of other gamblers. ***
As all this happens, the one-eyed Leela departs to
join a group of feminists that protest Wong’s construction
methods. We’re also introduced to The League of Mad Fellows,
which ties in with a subplot featuring a mysterious dark
enemy. Ultimately, the fate of the universe rests in the
hands of Fry and his friends. ***
