The fourth season of “Ghost Whisperer” introduced major
change to the series some of which derailing the momentum
of the series and pushing fans to the edge by killing off
a major character, reintroducing him in “another” form,
distracting viewers by playing a “is he” or “isn’t he” really
that person game and the introduction of a brand new character
named Eli that didn’t gel well with the cast or the characters
they played. ***
Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) is confused; her husband
dies and somehow his spirit ends up in the body of someone
else and she gets her signals crossed because she has memories
of her relationship marriage with Jim (David Conrad)and
his new form. Is he the same person? ***
All of this indecisive storytelling meant that the
show was in neutral during the 4th season going nowhere
fast. ---
Image & Sound:
A very nice looking transfer with bright colors, nice
detail and accurate skin tones “Ghost Whisperer” looks as
good as the previous three seasons and it also suffers from
some of the same flaws as those sets with ghosting and edge
enhancement. The series looks good in its anamorphic widescreen
presentation. ***
Audio sounds extremely good with a nice 5.1 mix. The
show is closed captioned ---
