Review:

The show debuted in 2005, and as the year have passed, characters have evolved, and plotlines have become more intriguing. ***

Grey's Anatomy is by far the best hospital drama on television. There are some regular cast members missing this year, but a few new ones joined the cast. With the non-renewal of Brook Smith, who played the lesbian character, Dr. Erica Hahn was probably the most significant departure.***

During Season 5 Cristina (Sandra Oh) has a new love interest, Owen, (Kevin McKidd) a new doctor at Seattle Grace. Of course there is that always on again, off again relationship between Meredith (Ellen Pompero) and Derek aka Dr. McDreamy, (Patrick Dempsey)***

Dr. Izzy Stephens (Katherine Heigel) began to see hallucinations of Denny Duquette (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and with the help of some medical students she dianosed herself with terminal cancer. This brings her back into a strong relationship with Alex (Justin Chambers).***

Image And Sound: As with most recent TV shows, Grey's Anatomy looks and sounds pretty good on DVD. The image is clear and colorful and no major anomalies are present to detract from the viewing experience. Audio is front-heavy, which is natural for a dialogue-intensive show such as this. It's about as good as the show can be expected to look or sound on the DVD format, and I say that as an enormous compliment.

Special Features:

The package features a good assortment of special features. In addition to the obligatory behind-the-scenes footage and a blooper reel, the package also includes a look at the making of the 100th episode, as well as extended and unaired episodes. These features are well worth watching for anyone who is a fan of the show. It's rare to see a season set of a TV show still getting bonus feature treatment this good this late in the series, but this package doesn't fail to please.

Final Words:

Grey's Anatomy doesn't fail to please, and five seasons in, it's still the best medical drama on the airwaves today. Needless to say, this package is strongly recommended to any fan!
