Review:

The Nickelodeon series iCarly follows young Carly, who produces and star her own Internet show. Helping her are Sam and Freddie, and together the trio gets into all sorts of trouble but always remain best friends forever. The show is created by Dan Schneider, who's best known as one of the alumnis from ABC's Head of The Class (1986-91). Volume one of the Emmy-nominated series' second season is a two-disc set consisting of ten episodes, including the 90-minute movie "iGo to Japan", when Carly gets nominated for an iWeb Award. ***

In part one of season two, Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) and Sam (Jeanette McCurdy) become romantic rivals for Freddie (Nathan Kress)'s best friend, as Carly's Uncle Spencer (Jerry Trainor) tries to impress an single mother -- by selling cookies. The gang celebrates an e-Christmas, but meets their online competition, and could face being social and Internet pariahs. Special guest stars in this volume are the band Good Charlotte, and American Idol season seven runner-up David Archuleta. ***

Final Words:

iCarly is back on the Web -- and coming to DVD!
