Review:

It's that time of year again Christmas time and it's the Muppet's time to celebrate this time following the reception that "Muppet's Go To Oz" received. Disney decided to go back to basics with the Muppet's in the vein of the Muppet show. This special is basically a back to basics that's like "a Muppet's Christmas Carol" ***

On Christmas eve a group of the Muppet's go to the main post office in New York to deliver letters to Santa. ***

Later Gonzo discovers that three letters that they forgot were in his coat, on Gonzo's insistence they decide to go directly to the source to deliver the missing letters, after a LOT of misadventures they do manage to deliver the letters and with thanks to Santa they make it back home ---

Image and Sound: this release is in 1:78:1

Anamorphic wide screen also in Dolby digital 5.1 --- with English subs CC for the hearing impaired and the extras also subtitled as well, this is truly a product of this decade fully shot digitally so the transfer looks great compared to the 70's run of the Muppet Show there are some fade out problems here and there but otherwise it's a great looking release

Special Features:

On this special edition DVD there's bonus content hidden in The Muppets Stocking Stuffer Smorgasbord where it takes you to a screen displaying a living room decorated for Christmas, complete with Muppets sounds and animated lights and fireplace flames.Throughout this scene. ten items can be selected to lead you to short clips. Most of these are promotional behind-the-scenes bits featuring an interview by a Muppet or two, or the human guest stars, some really funny outtakes through.

There's also a photo sideshow with sound clips and four brief deleted scenes. It's all presented in a window box format with a holly border all around the screen. It's also in the 16.9 resolution format as well also trailers for "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" "Toy Story 3" "Winnie the Pooh- Season of Giving 10th Anniversary Edition" and "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" "Mickey's Choo-Choo Express" in the sneak peak menu also trailers for "Santa Buddies", "Up Ponyo" "Tinker Bell" and the Lost Treasure", "Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse" Prep & Landing & Disney rewards DVD program and an ad for blu-ray releases as well.

There's supposed to be a bonus 60-minute documentry on this Release it's strangly missing

Final Words:

A return to Grace for the Muppet's and long last after a lot of missteps a "Muppet's Christmas Letters to Santa" brings the classic characters to their original form
