Review:

Scare Tactics is Syfy's version of Punked with people being scared the bejesus out of them -- without ever knowing they're being tricked for the treats of family and friends. The show debuted in 2003 and was first hosted by 90210 Charmed witch Shannon Doherty, and then born again Stephen Baldwin. After over three years, it return with not only with a new host, but will with brand-new tricks and treats this week. ***

Tracy Morgan (SNL, 30 Rock) becomes the third host, as Scare Tactics' third season will split into two on DVD, with 13 episodes from last summer released as part one. The season opener takes place at a hospital, where a woman believed she's about to helped deliver the Anti-Christ. The next one, "3:10 to Hell", features an individual from a train yard forced to do battle with an alien shipment; "Attack of the Rat Monster" is the fourth episode that contains past clips of the series over the past two seasons. Others include "UFO Abduction", "Bigfoot Attacks", "Frankenstein's Basement of Terror", and "Limo in Area 51". ***

Special Features:

Tracy Morgan Bloopers and outttakes; uncensored "too hot for TV" deleted scenes.

Final Words:

Start celebrating Halloween earlier with the first half of Scare Tactics' third season coming to DVD today. ***
