This two-disc set contains 34 theatrical shorts of
the classic cat-and-mouse game -- literally -- between Tom
and Jerry in their endless quest of duking it out, outsmarting,
outmanuvering, staying one step ahead, and one-upping the
other from 1963-67 and continued to broadcast until the
fall of 1972. Yet their popularity continue thanks to reruns
in syndication and the Cartoon Network, which led to more
success on the big and small screen such as FOX's Tom &
Jerry Kids back in the 1990s. ***
This collection features hits such as "Penthouse Mouse",
"Much Ado about Mousing", "Tom-ic Energy", "Bad Day at Cat
Rock", "Haunted Mouse", "The Year of the Mouse", "Jerry-Go-Round",
"Puss 'n' Boots", "The A-Tom-inable Showman", "Rock 'n'
Rodent", "The Mouse from H.U.N.G.E.R.", and much more. Where
would Bugs Bunny be without Elmer Fudd? Where would Smokey
be without the Bandit? And where Tom would be without Jerry?
Exactly!
