Since the mid 1920's "Winnie The Pooh" has
been entertaining children through out the decades. With
Christmas just around the corner this (10th Anniversary)
release of "Seasons Of Giving" originally aired
in 1999 having it's first official release on DVD in 2003.
The story revolves around Pooh bear ,Tigger ,Piglet , Rabbit
& the other residents of the Hundred Acre Woods, celebrating
the Thanksgiving, Christmas and the Holiday seasons as well, the
movie is broken down into several arcs.
The first part is taken from episode (24) of the first
season of "the new adventures of Winnie The Pooh" "Bubble
Trouble/Ground Piglet's day" as Rabbit and everyone think
that's it's Feb 2 (when they realize after the fact that
someone forgot to change the calender),and so they think
(mistakenly that they've missed out on Thanksgiving & Christmas.
So in a hare-brained plan they use poor piglet as (well
you guessed it as a groundhog) to see when Chrstmas will
come.
The second part is taken from an actual special with
Pooh bear inviting Christopher Robin to join the group of
the Hundred Acre Woods and hoping for a good thanksgiving,
and finally the last arc in the Specal taken from also the
first season of "The New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh"
from episode 4 "Find Her, Keep Her" it's christmas & Rabbit
has gotten a postcard from Kessie a Bluebird that Rabbit
had rescued some time before, with Roo asking who Kessie
is he relates the story of how he first found the little
bird.
Image and Sound:
There are slight problems between the picture quality
between the newer scenes and the episodes of the series
which are used on the special you'll be able to tell between
in the older versions, Rabbit looks very green and in the
modern footage he's yellow. The picture transfer itself
does show it's age cosidering it was out in '99 and the
older episodes are from the mid 90's it's presented in full
screen (1.33.1) in dolby digital suround sound with english
and spanish subs all the subs are clear through there's
a bit of a drop off sound wise.
